Intuitive & Empathic Kids + Teens

Grounded support for kids who feel everything, and the parents who love them.

For young people who feel what others feel, know things they can't explain, or sense what others don't. And for the parents who love them and want to understand.

Maybe your child already has words for what they experience. Maybe they're telling you things that don't fit anything you were taught. Either way, you're in the right place.

Their sensitivity isn't something to fix or fear. With grounded, loving support, it can become one of their greatest strengths.

Does this sound like your child?

Intuition shows up differently in every child. You may have heard words like highly sensitive, empath, or old soul. Some kids recognize themselves in one of these. Some in all of them.

  • They feel everyone's feelings. They walk into a room and soak up the mood. They come home from school exhausted, or upset, without knowing why.

  • They know things they shouldn't know. Who's about to call. That someone is sick before anyone said so. Answers that arrive before the question.

  • They see, hear, or sense spirit. A grandparent who passed. Presences in their room at night. "Imaginary friends" who seem to know a lot.

  • They're old souls. Wise beyond their years, more comfortable with adults than peers, often feeling like they don't quite fit.

  • They're scared, or overwhelmed, by what they perceive. Bedtime is hard. They have big reactions that seem out of proportion. They've started keeping things to themselves.

If you're nodding along, and maybe also feeling unsure what to do with any of it, you're not alone. Most parents were never taught how to support this. Most of us were never supported in it ourselves.

I was one of these kids

As a child, I knew more than I should have known. I knew when people were sick, or dying. I knew who was calling before the phone rang. At night, my room was full of beings, and I was terrified.

I called it "magic." I'd found a whole world nobody else seemed to know about, and part of me loved it. But the adults around me didn't know what to do with it. Some dismissed me. Some told me I was so creative and imaginative, but that stuff wasn't real. Some didn't believe me at all. A few were worried about my mental health.

I knew it was real. What I didn't have was anyone to help me understand it. No one taught me how to set boundaries with what I was sensing, or how to open and close with discernment. So I made sense of it alone, through drawing, writing stories, and making art. My "imaginary friends" lived there. I now understand they weren't imaginary at all.

I didn't have a mentor to walk this path with me. Now I get to be that person for other kids, and for their parents.

What becomes possible

My hope is that intuitive kids can grow up feeling fully themselves: tuned in to everything they perceive, and still able to have healthy, happy lives at school, with friends, and as they grow.

Here's some of what can open up through our work together:

  • Understanding. Your child learns that what they experience is real, normal for them, and nothing to be ashamed of.

  • Less fear, more trust. They learn grounded ways to relate to what they sense, so it feels less overwhelming and more like something they can work with.

  • Boundaries and discernment. They learn how to open and close, and how to tell what's theirs from what they're picking up from others.

  • Words for their inner world. They build the skills to name their feelings, notice what's happening in their body, and come back to calm.

  • Trust in their own knowing. Instead of hiding or doubting themselves, they learn to listen to their inner wisdom and use it well.

  • Connection at home. You get to understand your child more deeply, and they get to feel seen by you.

How we can work together

Every family is different, so we'll shape the support around yours. Sessions happen virtually, so families can join from anywhere. If you're local to Asheville, in-person sessions are also possible.

With your child.A space that's entirely theirs. Depending on their age, we might draw or write about what they're sensing, practice noticing feelings in the body, learn simple ways to feel safe at bedtime, or talk openly about spirit in a grounded, down-to-earth way. Art and creative expression are at the heart of this work, because that's often how kids say what they can't yet put into words.

With you, the parent.Support to understand what your child is experiencing, how to respond when they share something that's outside your world, and how to help them feel safe, believed, and grounded. You don't need to have any of these experiences yourself to be the parent your child needs.

Together.A combination of both, so what your child learns has a home to land in.

When your child feels overwhelmed, scared at bedtime, or flooded by everyone else's feelings, they need something of their own to reach for. Together, we build an inner toolkit: simple practices they can use anywhere to feel strong, safe, and like themselves again.

For teens

If you're a teenager reading this: you're not too much, and you're not making it up.

Maybe you absorb everyone's moods at school and come home drained. Maybe you know things about people before they tell you. Maybe you've had experiences you've never told anyone about, because you weren't sure how they'd react.

This is a place to talk about all of it with someone who gets it, without judgment. We'll work on the real stuff: protecting your energy, trusting yourself, handling friendships and relationships when you feel everything so deeply, and figuring out who you are with all of this as part of you.

Deeply rooted in both worlds

My approach is grounded in the real science of how children grow. With a degree in psychology and child development, a master's in education, and two decades of working with kids, I understand how young minds and nervous systems develop, and what children need to feel safe, capable, and understood.

I also walk this path myself. I've lived my whole life as an open, intuitive, deeply empathic person, and I've trained as an evidential medium, including study at the Arthur Findlay College in the U.K. Along the way I've built a real toolkit for living well with sensitivity, and I share it with kids in ways that feel natural, practical, and even fun.

I bring both: the professional training and the lived experience.

Together, we build the inner skills your child needs to stay open to all they perceive, while feeling steady, safe, and fully themselves in everyday life.

Let's talk

The first step is a Parent Consultation: a 60-minute support session just for you. Bring your questions, your worries, and whatever you've been noticing. We'll talk it through together, and you'll receive real support.

This is a focused hour of support, centered on you and your child. You'll have space to talk through what's happening, and you'll leave with a clearer understanding of what your child may be experiencing and practical tools you can start using right away.

You don't need the right words for what your child is experiencing. That's part of what we'll figure out together.
